Repeal Concealed Carry Rule and Regulations
The Converse County School District #2 school board is considering repealing rules to allow approved staff members to carry a concealed firearm on district property. The current Rules describe the process, requirements, and conditions for the Board to approve certain employees to carry concealed firearms at school. Those rules were based on W.S. 21-3-132. The Board proposes to repeal the Rules because Enrolled Act No. 24 (House Bill 172), which became law on February 27, 2025, with an effective date of July 1, 2025, repeals W.S. 21-3-103. The board intends to vote on this rule at their regular board meeting on August 19, 2025. Between now and then, the board wants to consider input from interested stakeholders. See the information below and attached for details. Click the link to read the entire rule and regulations. You can attend a board meeting or you can provide a written comment by email. Please read the entire rule and regulations before offering input.
